Pastor Ron Davis

Pastor Davis has served at Sumter Bible Church and Sumter Christian School since 1983 when he began teaching sixth grade. He became the assistant pastor and  administrator (principal) in 1990, and on October 18, 2009, he was called as pastor of Sumter Bible Church. Pastor Davis received a B.S. degree in Bible from Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, Virginia. He then earned a Master of Divinity and a Masters degree in Christian Education from Liberty Baptist Seminary (now Liberty University). Pastor Davis was a pastor for three years in Powhatan, Virginia before coming to Sumter. He was born and reared in nearby Bishopville, SC. He and his wife Lucy have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Spencer Canterbury is the assistant pastor as of August 5, 2024. He graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a M.Div. He teaches the teen Sunday school class and the teens' Bible study on Wednesday nights. He also teaches three Bible classes in Sumter Christian School. His wife Madi directs four band classes for Sumter Christian School and teaches two special needs classes. His picture will be posted later.
